The explanatory section of the Internet Language Reference Book was expanded extensively during development of the book edition. The first edition was published by Academia publishers as the Academic Vade Mecum of the Czech Language in February 2014 with an endorsement from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. It won Academia’s 2014 Bestseller of the Year award and first place in the 2014 Czech Bestseller competition in the Adult Academic and Non-fiction Literature category. In May 2019, Academia published a second, revised and supplemented edition of the Academic Vade Mecum of the Czech Language, once again with an endorsement from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
